Setting a date

We set a date today. And that was a doozy.

In fact, we have had a date in mind for months. Months! We told family the date that we were thinking in November, before we were even engaged. I told my work that date in January, when I was asked about spring vacations. But we...ahem, I...was dragging my feet a bit when it came to saying "Okay, this it it!"

The funny thing is that if Jared and I decided to elope tomorrow, I would be fine. He and me down at City Hall is nothing. Setting a DATE and inviting family and friends to see us tie the knot? Hiring a photographer? Finding a restaurant? That feels so...ominous to me.
