10 Links For Your Weekend

sleepI am running on fumes after picking Jared up from the Denver airport at 2 a.m. I don't remember the last time I was up that late! We flew here this week to see his mom get married in my parents' backyard. Yes, a very random venue but we're grateful to be able to see both families in one trip! I hope I'll be able to sneak in a nap before the wedding festivities kick off tonight. But first, here are 10 links to get your weekend rolling...

I'm putting this Turkish shop in Brooklyn on my to-do list when I get back to the city.

Have you been keeping up with Jenny Komenda's home renovation? I love pulling up her blog to see new projects.

I wrote a piece this week on a company that sells handmade bracelets from Namibia.

And here's a little something I wrote about creative sustainable vehicles.

Do you have any rituals that you do before you eat? They may be making your food taste better.

This new app tracks fertility.

Broadway and Newtown kids are putting on a musical this weekend.

Is Beyonce's new haircut fab or drab in your book?

Messy work spaces apparently help with creativity.

Stay healthy on your summer road trip.

A Day On Cherry Creek Reservoir

ReservoirOne of my favorite things to do when I'm in Denver is to roll out of bed, go to Einstein Bros. Bagels for Diet Coke (they have the best Diet Coke) and then hop on the boat to cruise Cherry Creek Reservoir with my family. And that's exactly what we did Saturday morning.

^^^There's something about those yellow cups. They make the Diet Coke that much better.^^^

I love being out on the water, and fortunately, I'll be back in Colorado in a few short weeks. But I'm dying to get out on the Hudson. I hear there are free kayak rentals off of Riverside Park. Has anyone tried it?
